The NHL season is flying by and many teams have been having successful seasons thus far. This season’s rookie presence is strong and the Calder Trophy conversation this season will be a tough one.

The Calder Trophy is awarded to the player who is most proficient in his first year in the NHL. Thing is, there are a few rookies who are making excellent cases for why they should be the 2016-17 Calder recipient.
