  • In Defense Of Ice Girls: Part 1 and 2 – One of the more controversial aspects of in-arena entertainment in the NHL is the role of the “ice girl”. To help clear up some of the misconceptions, as well as learn a little bit about the job, our very own Lawrence Hegner got an exclusive interview with a former NHL Ice Girl. [Part 1] [Part 2]
  • Josh Harding Suspended By The Minnesota Wild – It has been a tumultuous week for goaltenders in Minnesota. Josh Harding appeared on crutches Tuesday, after reportedly injuring his ankle in an altercation with a team mate. Harding was later suspended when it was discovered that he injured the ankle by kicking a wall. The Wild signed Darcy Kuemper to an extension and extended a training camp tryout offer to Ilya Bryzgalov. [Gone Puck Wild]
  • Blue Jackets forward Nathan Horton injured again, again – Nathan Horton played only 36 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets; missing the first few months of the season with a shoulder injury. An abdominal tear ended his season with the Jackets in March. The Blue Jackets were hoping to have a healthy Horton to start the 2014-15 season, but yesterday it was announced he has injured his back and will miss camp and possibly the start of the season.
