Welcome back to our weekly NHL power rankings here at Puck Prose. This a duel collaboration between Matt Duscharme and Ryan Ritchie brought to you every Thursday in which we update fans on the latest happenings around the league. In addition to our top 30 rankings, we provide in-depth analysis and feature a weekly prospect profile to help fans get better acquainted with young talent in the system.

In this week’s edition, we’ve seen several movers and shakers. A new team occupies the top spot, with numerous familiar faces rounding out our top 10. Even a few slow starters are beginning to find their way as they creep higher in our NHL power rankings.

Among the big headlines across the league this past week: Winnipeg turns to a three-headed monster in goal after recalling Ondrej Pavelec. The Colorado Avalanche continue to be the focus of NHL trade rumors. Oh, and how about those Toronto Maple Leafs? At this point, they’re on pace to finish 2nd in the Atlantic.
