Welcome to another weekly recap of the NHL at FanSided where we bring you some of the top stories from our FanSided NHL Writers.  Even though it’s offseason, there’s no breaks here as we all find a way to bring our views and opinions to you our loyal readers.

On a hot summer day in Boston Causeway Crowd  has a few thoughts to cool you off.

Is it possible to fill NHL arenas for all 82 games?  Sabre Noise  has a pretty interesting idea that just might work.

Carolina is hosting this year’s NHL All-Star game and Cardiac Cane  has a preview of the logo for the game.

The Rat Trick, yea that’s me, asks about the future of Florida Panther head coach Peter DeBoer.

A Winning Habit, one of our newest sites here at Fansided is off to a great start covering the Montreal Canadiens.  Can’t be all bad if they can call their own the Smurfs right?

One of the greatest fans to watch the New York Islanders passed away this week.  Eye On Isles has a nice tribute to Bill Hayes.

The New York Rangers blueline seems to be getting a bit of a facelift.  Blue Line Station explains the tinkering.

Former Stanley Cup winning goaltender Rick Wamsley has landed the goaltending coach position with the Ottawa Senators.  SenShot is pretty happy with this.  Also, SenShot recently celebrated their one year birthday here at Fansided.  Keep up the good work Bobby Zijiac!  And your new addition Tony Mendes.

Broad Steet Buzz describes Scott Hartnell with a number of names.  Pretty much on target on all of them, he’s also asking is Hartnell worth the money?

Max Talbot of the Pittsburgh Penguins caused quite the stir last week in his outburst at Alex Ovechkin.  Read about  it at Pens Labyrinth.

Tampa Bay certainly has had an exciting offseason, and has revamped not only their front office, but their roster as well.  Here’s Bolts By The Bay with their analysis of their free agency action.

One of the most popular and accomplished reporters in the hockey world, Tarik el-Bashir will no longer be covering the Washington Capitals at the Washington Post.  Capitals Outsider pays a nice tribute to Tarik.

Celebrating one year of existence here at FanSided, Blackhawk Up  thanks his readers, his followers, and some others in a anniversary post.  Nice job Jeff Bartl.

Last Season Autin Waldron our Dallas Stars writer over at Blackout Dallas  participated in a jersey off the back promotion.  Here’s the finishing touches to the event.

Oil On Whyte  talks about the troubled situation of Edmonton Oiler goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin as his court date gets rescheduled.

Alexei Ponikarovsky signs as a free agent with the Los Angeles Kings.  Rink Royalty provides some debateable opinions on the big forward.

One of our newest sites Predlines, which covers the Nashville Predators got off to a quick start, and with two lead writers I had a hard time picking one post to link to.  So, instead, I linked to their site. 

Howlin’ Hockey  has been doing some great reviews on Coyote’s players.  Here’s one on the pride of Poland, Wojtek Wolski.

ESPN did a special report about Stadium food and vendor service.  Scottrade Center in St. Louis, home of the St. Louis Blues received a perfect report.  Bleedin’ Blue has the complete story.

At the upcoming Young Stars Tournament coming up In September, there’s a few Vancouver Canucks that will be participating.  The Canuck Way tells us who to watch out for.
