Free agency is now only a matter of hours away and general managers all over the league are itching to throw ridiculous contracts that will no doubt lead to our next lockout (you know Glen Sather is dying inside that cap space is limited and he can’t make it rain this year).  However in the interim, it’s always fun to speculate who is going where, or if you’re an Islander fan, who your general manager claims he made an offer to, but acts shocked when he takes less money to play elsewhere.

We have already taken a look at the unrestricted free agent goalies and defensemen, so today we’ll shift our focus to the forwards.  Unlike those two prior positions, there is some better depth up front that should make for an interesting couple of days in July.  And even with the salary cap set two million dollars below what was originally anticipated, the players on this list will have no trouble finding work:
