Too Early to Give Up on the Bruins

It is safe to say that the Bruins are currently not playing to their full potential. The Black and Gold have fallen to teams that they are definitely capable of be
ating such as the Columbus Blue Jackets and they just barely scraped by the Buffalo Sabres in an overtime win.
Most recently, Fraser was placed on the waivers as Jordan Caron was recalled from Providence. How will this help the struggling Bruins get back on their feet and onto the winning path? It seems as if they can hardly string together several good games in a row. They’ve only picked up four wins in the month of December so far. There are many questions. Yet there are no answers for this team as of late.
The Bruins have struggled to find their game and play the full sixty minutes. They’ve performed poorly on their power play and had weak defense in front of the net. They’ve labored, slid, stumbled, and dealt with the unfortunate blow of several injuries to key players so far this season. It looks bleak as of now. As of now, they’ve lost their true style of play and no longer look like the “Big Bad Bruins” that they once were.
This has led to some of the fan base is questioning where this season is going to go. Should they give up their hope on the Bruins having a deep playoff run and worry about the future? Should fans keep watching the games and hoping for some sort of miraculous change?
It is too early to give up on this Boston Bruins team this year. The team has been known to be resilient, and known how to face problems with their game.
There is good news however. The injured players are on their way back now. We’ve already seen Krejci and Chara back in game action. It seems as defenseman Adam McQuaid although still not ready to play in games is not too far behind. McQuaid has practiced for two straight days now.

It is also important to realize that there is a lot of the season left to be played. The pace of the typical NHL season is grueling and long. Players are constantly being bogged down by injuries and are exhausted. If there is ever a time for players to be hurt (not that there is really a time), it is before the playoff stretch. The injured Bruins are now becoming healthy at the perfect time while many teams start to begin dealing with hurt players.
It is not time to give up hope for the Bruins. The Bruins are a team that knows exactly what is expected of them. They understand what they need to do. For them, this is a job that they know how to handle getting back on track. It is time for them to buckle down more than ever and find a way to win no matter what.
If they can’t find a way to win pretty soon down the line and start gathering more wins to earn a playoff spot, then that is where panic should begin to set in. It will be up to Peter Chiarelli to make a trade or make an executive decision on what is best for this team. If goals aren’t scored, the Bruins need to find a way to produce them. Everyone must step up. It is not a time to lose hope and motivation. This is the time to go and start playing to win for the entire game. If the B’s can do this, success will be found without a doubt.
