Too Many Men on the Site has steadily grown as FanSided’s home for premium hockey coverage dating back to when the site was first launched in late 2009. The NHL has seen plenty of changes over the years, not to mention the full gamut of on-ice successes and failures, and so too has the staff here on site. The constant has always been our goal here on site: to give you folks, our readers, the very best hockey discussion that we possibly can.
The 2015 season is rapidly coming to an end and the NHL playoffs are rapidly approaching. However, that doesn’t end things for us, as we’ll be bringing you total coverage of the offseason moves and changes as well. With that in mind, we’re looking for some like-minded writers and fans to join our team and help us provide that total coverage.
Consider yourself a passionate fan? Read us or other hockey sites with regularity and ever wonder if you should write about the team too? Maybe you’re just stumbling across us for the first time and you like what you see. We are looking to add to our staff and editors here on site and this could be your chance to grab a stick and join the team.
Expectations
We like to let our staff write about the aspects of the team they are most passionate about. There’s room for those interested in covering the minor leagues. Maybe you’re more of a transaction junkie and you want to talk about the impact a new signing or key injury could have. Or even just chipping in on game previews, round-table discussions on staff about how the team should approach the upcoming offseason, or helping with a number of other potential story ideas there could be a place for you here on the team.

Writers are asked to contribute 1-2 posts per week. We’ll always welcome more frequent contributions than that, but we won’t require it. Editor roles have a higher commitment requirement.
We know that for most this is mostly a hobby and something you do for the love of it. That’s why we do it too, as most of us have families, full-time careers, and/or school to balance into our lives as well (there’s room for things besides baseball, right?). This is an opportunity to join a staff of writers here who are just simply passionate about the NHL and want to continue to reach the rest of this great fan base. Some paid opportunities are available for those fans passionate enough to step into the editor’s seat as well.
Want to join us?
Applying is very easy. Head on over and complete an application. It’ll give you a chance to share some insight into your background (prior online writing experience is not necessary but always encouraged) and let us know why you’d be a fit on site, so give it your best. We’ll be in touch from there.
