Oshawa Generals D Riley Stillman – 88th Ranked North American Skater

At 6’0 181lbs, Riley shares the same physical stature (height, weight) as his father. He plays a slightly more physical, on the edge style game in comparison to Cory (not that Cory wasn’t a tough customer).

Riley Stillman is a OHL rookie in 2015-16 after spending most of 2014-15 with OJHL’s Cobourg Cougars. He also played a nine-game stint with Oshawa. He’s wearing the “A” on his sweater already, suggesting he has adopted his father’s outstanding leadership skills.

These prospects who grew up around the NHL lifestyle, and have the mentor-ship from first-hand NHL knowledge – these are attractive intangibles that are rare to find.

“IMO, Stillman has been one of the OHL’s most improved players over the course of this season. He’s gone from receiving little ice time, to earning a letter (an ‘A’) as a rookie. He’s averaging just over 0.5 ppg over the last three months and has been a stand out nearly every time I’ve seen Oshawa play lately.

He doesn’t have terrific size, but he plays much larger than his 6’0 frame would suggest. Has become one of the OHL’s best open ice hitters and seems to really relish in the opportunity to mix it up physically. His offensive game and confidence grows by the game too.”

The video below features an interview with Riley and his younger brother when he was 13 years old (4-5 years ago) playing minor hockey in Peterborough, Ontario. Yes, that is correct, we could have one more Stillman on the way in the future.
