4. Two first points

The first point of an NHL career is extremely memorable. So when twin brothers both got their first point on the same goal, that’s a pretty darn special occasion. It’s fitting Henrik Sedin got his first career point, a primary assist, on Daniel Sedin’s first NHL goal.

This happened against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Oct. 8, 2000. It was made even more dramatic because at the time, the Canucks trailed them 4-3. Daniel’s first NHL goal was a game-tying goal and Vancouver wound up winning 5-4.

Let’s take a look at the first career point for both of the twins.

Even when they were 20 years old, the Sedins had incredible chemistry. Henrik fires a flawless pass to Daniel. And the latter knew precisely where the former wanted him to be. It’s absolutely breathtaking how in sync with each other they were, even at such a young age.

The Sedins will retire first and second in career points and assists with the Canucks. Henrik has the slight in points while Daniel has the lead in goals. The former also leads the latter in games played with the Canucks. They rank first and second in that category as well.

Though the Sedins scored a ton of points during their NHL careers, the first one for both of them was extremely special. It was a sign of things to come for the Canucks.
