The last NHL odds regarding over/under season point totals have been released. Here are the 10 best over/under bets for fans looking to make some money.

It’s only August, but the NHL season is nearly here. How can you tell? NHL odds are starting to trickle out. Specifically, the infamous over-under point totals for teams have been released. These odds are a pretty nice way to make some money.

Of course, in order to do that, you have to know what you’re doing. You’ve got to pick out teams that have a good chance of overachieving or underachieving their projected point totals. This makes certain teams a trendy pick, one way or the other.

Let’s take a look at the full odds, courtesy of Odds Shark.

There are some teams that immediately jump out as easy picks. This article will focus on the teams who have a good chance of hitting either the over or the under. Be sure to only bet on these in states where gambling is legal.

Please note this is merely advice and if you think you’re addicted to gambling, please seek professional help.

With that out of the way, let’s take a look at the 10 best bets for fans to make.

The New York Rangers at 75.5 are quite tempting. But since they’re a rebuilding team, I’m not confident enough of them to be a competitive team to take that bet.

Also, if the Rangers trade both Mats Zuccarello and Kevin Hayes, that team’s going to be worse off. If Henrik Lundqvist was a few years younger, I could easily talk myself into it. But that’s not the case. I’m not sold on them being a bottom five team either.

It’s likely at least one of the Los Angeles Kings and Calgary Flames will best 93.5 points. Likewise, at least one of them isn’t hitting that total. The Kings are getting older, but have some intriguing young players and are still a good team.

Meanwhile, the Flames definitely got better this summer. But I question how much better they got since they traded defenseman Dougie Hamilton. If you’re feeling bold, flip a coin and go with the over on the Kings or Flames. Both could and one almost indefinitely will get at least 94 points, but it’s hard to see both doing it.
