The St. Louis Blues and Winnipeg Jets start their first-round series of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Wednesday. Here’s how you can watch via live stream.
The 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs get started on Wednesday, April 10. At 8:00 p.m. EST, the Winnipeg Jets will host the St. Louis Blues at Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It will be aired nationally on SN and TVAS3 in Canada. Additionally, it will be aired on NHL Network in the United States and Fox Sports Midwest locally in St. Louis.
This matchup is between two Central Division rivals. They come into this series ready to face each other for the first time since December. Both teams are mighty different from the last time they played.

Of the two teams, the Blues are the most different. They were among the worst teams in the NHL when 2019 started. Once the calendar year changed, something clicked in St. Louis. Since the start of 2019, they’ve been one of the best teams in the NHL.
Calder Trophy contender Jordan Binnington has been the goaltender St. Louis has been looking for. Jake Allen is a viable backup, as he posted a league average save percentage this season. Ryan O’Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko lead an opportunistic offense that can make their opponents pay for their mistakes.
On the other side of the ice, the Jets come in slumping a bit. They have the talent to make a deep postseason run, but they haven’t been the same dominant team they were last season. The Jets haven’t looked right for a while, but perhaps the adrenaline of the playoffs will wake them up.
They are led by star center Mark Scheifele, leading scorer Blake Wheeler, top defenseman Dustin Byfuglien, and a strong cast of supporting characters. Patrik Laine could be the difference maker in this series. He hasn’t been scoring goals lately, but he’s obviously capable of doing so. Laine scored well over half of his goals this season in November.
