The New York Islanders won Game 1 against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 1. Game 2 of their Stanley Cup Playoffs series is on Friday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. EST. Here’s how you can watch via live stream.
Game 1 between the New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins was a physical affair. It saw the Pens tie the game late only for the Isles to get the 4-3 win in overtime. Game 2 of their Stanley Cup Playoffs series will be held on Friday, April 12 at Nassau Coliseum starting at 7:30 p.m. EST. It will be aired on NBCSN, CBC, and TVAS2 nationally. Locally, you can view it on MSG, MSG+, and AT&T Sportsnet (Pittsburgh).
This should be another great game. Game 1 was filled with hard hits and lots of action. The Isles were able to overcome two overturned goal calls to beat the Pens in their first postseason game at Nassau since the 2014-15 playoffs.

Pittsburgh was left licking their wounds after having trouble with New York’s forecheck. They were also terrible in the neutral zone and had no answer for the Isles’ defense. However, the Pens can be encouraged that, despite their bad play, they still nearly won the game.
They haven’t played their best hockey yet, so if they get that going, they still have a very realistic chance of winning the series. Sidney Crosby had a very rare off night. Now the Penguins will have to hope to win Game 2 or they risk heading home with a sub-optimal 2-0 series deficit.
On the home side of the ice, the Islanders are riding a tidal wave of momentum. The Coliseum will be rocking in Game 2 and their fans seem to give them more energy. It’ll be a loud and crazy atmosphere at Nassau. The Isles won with a team effort, as 10 players picked up at least one point. Only Jordan Eberle had more than one.

Game 2 is critical for both teams. Expect another classic. It’ll be interesting to see if the Islanders can stop Crosby again. It’s quite hard to hold him out off the scoresheet twice in a row in the postseason.
