The St. Louis Blues took home-ice advantage away from the Winnipeg Jets in Game 1 of their 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs series by beating them 2-1. Here’s how you can watch Game 2 via live stream.
Game 1 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs series between the St. Louis Blues and Winnipeg Jets was a great one. Winnipeg got an early goal from Patrik Laine, but St. Louis struck back with a third-period goal from David Perron. With under three minutes left, Tyler Bozak gave the Blues the 2-1 lead they didn’t relinquish. Game 2 will be held at Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada starting at 9:30 p.m. EST.
This game can be viewed on CNBC in the United States. In Canada, it will be aired on Sportsnet and TVAS. Locally in St. Louis, the game can be seen on Fox Sports Midwest.

Winnipeg enters Game 2 desperate for a win. They did well in Game 1, but outside of a rocket from Laine, couldn’t solve rookie goaltender Jordan Binnington. Not even a second-period power play gave them much momentum in that regard. While the Jets should be encouraged by Laine’s goal, they need to buckle down and get a win or they risk heading on the road down 2-0 in the series.
On the other side of the ice, St. Louis is looking for another road win. People weren’t sure how Binnington would do in goal as a rookie, but other than a virtually unstoppable shot from Laine, he looked as great as he did in the regular season. He stopped all but one of the 25 shots he saw.
The Blues did a great job suffocating Winnipeg’s offense. They’ll need the same effort in Game 2 if they want to head home up 2-0 in the series. Though Ryan O’Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko didn’t get on the scoresheet, they attracted most of Winnipeg’s attention and still did a pretty good job of possessing the puck, so that’s an encouraging sign.
St. Louis also has to be encouraged how well the Perron line played. Obviously, they got a goal. But the line consisting of Perron, Oscar Sundqvist, and Jaden Schwartz was arguably their best forward trio. The Bozak line also did remarkably well.
