You know that anger you feel as a hockey fan when your team blows a lead or loses an important game? Well, the Philadelphia Flyers have just the place for you.

In today’s sports world, sometimes it’s not so much about who has the better team, but who has the better stadium for the “fan experience” and luxury suites for corporate donors. Wells Fargo Center, home of the Philadelphia Flyers, is well known for its nice amenities.

Well, the Flyers have taken in arena amenities to the next level. This is one that uniquely Flyers, not for the faint of heart, and extremely unlikely to be found in any arena north of the border, but I’m still 100% here for it.

You know that anger and rage you feel as a hockey fan? Well, the Flyers have decided to capitalize on it by creating a “rage room”. From Greg Wyshynski of ESPN.

"The Flyers announced Tuesday that the Wells Fargo Center now has a “Disassembly Room,” the first-ever “rage room” inside a major professional sports arena.Located behind a “hidden” library wall entrance in the team’s new “Assembly Room” lounge and bar area, the anger cave allows Flyers fans to take out their aggression on household items like TVs, dishware, bottles and guitars using a variety of tools like baseball bats, orange and black sledgehammers and, of course, hockey sticks."

This is the thing I never knew I needed. Even the New Jersey Devils fan in me, sworn to have everything Philadelphia Flyers except Wayne Simmonds because he’s on our team now, can find a way to love this. All that pent-up rage I had in me after the Devils blew a 4-0 lead against the Winnipeg Jets last week could have went to good use in a place like this.

There’s the old saying about the Oakland Raiders and their rough and rowdy fans: they’ll beat you in the parking lot after the game because their team can’t beat you on the field during the game. Philly fans brought it to the next level.

They’ll try to beat you on the ice, in the stands (I’m still brave enough to wear my Brodeur jersey in Bernie Parent country), and in the stadium while the game is still going on. Just don’t beat Gritty, he’s a national treasure.
