BETTINGS ODDS & LINES
Courtesy of The Action Network, the Penguins are the favorites, listed at -215. Meanwhile, the Hawks are listed at +180.
CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS
Alex DeBrincat has quietly put together a three-game point streak. During the streak, he has two goals. DeBrincat has 10 points (five goals and five assists) through 15 games this season.
Patrick Kane leads the Hawks in points with 16 points, including a team-high 11 assists, in 15 games. He currently has a four-game point streak and is coming off a three-point performance against the Canucks.
PITTSBURGH PENGUINS
The Penguins have dealt with numerous early injuries, including one to Evgeni Malkin. Despite the unfair hand the hockey gods have dealt them, the Pens have been playing impressive hockey this season. As is tradition, Sidney Crosby is putting the team on his back. He was especially impressive during Malkin’s absence.
One concern for the Pens is their tendency to fall behind early. The opposing team has scored first in each of their last three games and in four of their last six. During that span, the Penguins have a 3-2-1 record.
In each of their last three games, the Pens have fallen behind 3-0. In each case, they wound up having the lead at some point. Though the Penguins eventually lost the lead again to the Bruins and wound up losing, an overtime goal from Bryan Rust cemented the win against the Isles.
WEATHER FORECAST
