According to the latest NHL trade rumors, it sounds like the Arizona Coyotes are very close to agreeing to trade for New Jersey Devils star forward Taylor Hall.
The latest NHL trade rumors surrounding Taylor Hall has numerous suitors interested in him. And who can blame them? The New Jersey Devils forward has a Hart Trophy on his resume. It’s rare to see a Hart Trophy winner get traded. According to the latest trade rumors, it sounds like Taylor Hall could be heading to the Arizona Coyotes.
This report comes from Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman. Also, Darren Dreger from TSN and Craig Morgan from The Athletic have confirmed the report. It sounds like something should get worked out fairly soon.

There’s no official word yet, but it’s not likely an extension will be involved in the trade. Reportedly, various teams, including the Colorado Avalanche and Florida Panthers, have interest in trading for Hall, but would like to get him signed before he becomes a free agent in July.
According to Dreger, the return will feature picks and prospects, primarily. Again, there’s nothing done yet officially, and Hall’s nearly been traded recently. As recently as last week, people though the Avalanche were the clear favorites to trade for him.
It appears the Coyotes want to get him on the team ASAP. The holiday roster freeze is coming up and the Yotes would be wise to get Hall settled in soon. I’m betting the return will feature a first-round pick and at least one of the Coyotes’ better prospects. Pierre LeBrun is reporting a first round pick is definitely involved.

The Coyotes are one of the NHL’s worst scoring teams, so obviously, adding a guy of Hall’s caliber should help. He’s capable of carrying a team’s offense for extended periods of time, as we saw back in 2017-18.
