In the first round-robin tournament game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Boston Bruins take on the Philadephia Flyers.

Sunday will feature a full slate of Stanley Cup Playoffs games. One of those will be the first round-robin tournament game in the Eastern Conference. At 3:00 p.m. EST, the Boston Bruins will square off against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Just to remind everyone, the round-robin tournament is for the top four seeds in each conference. The tournament will determine the seeding of the teams moving forward. Today, the Bruins will be the home team despite the game being held in Toronto.

More from Puck Prose

According to Odds Shark, the Flyers are listed at +115 and the Bruins are listed at -135. The over-under is set at 5.5 goals and Odds Shark recommends you to bet the under.

PHILADELPHIA FLYERS

The Flyers had an excellent season, narrowly missing out on wrestling the Metropolitan Division title away from the Washington Capitals, who have won it in each season since the 2014-15 season. They’re led by Selke Trophy finalist Sean Couturier and behind the bench, they have Jack Adams Trophy finalist Alain Vigneault.

In goal, the Flyers will be going with Carter Hart, who posted the best record in the NHL at home this season. This isn’t technically a home game, but Hart’s their best goalie, so they’ll be sticking with him. Brian Elliott will be backing him up.

BOSTON BRUINS

On the other end of the ice, the Bruins have to be pretty upset they have to be in a round-robin tournament. They were the best team in not just the Eastern Conference, but the entire NHL. The Bruins won the President’s Trophy since they had the best record in the league, yet they have to play for what ought to be rightfully theirs – the first seed in the Eastern Conference.

Offensively, the Bruins are led by Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, and David Pastrnak. Defensively, they’re led by the timeless captain Zdeno Chara, offensive dynamo Torey Krug, and young defenseman Charlie McAvoy.

Jaroslav Halak will be getting the nod in net. Tuukka Rask apparently suffered some sort of injury. He was expected to start.
