The Pittsburgh Penguins will try to even up their Stanley Cup Playoffs play-in round series against the Montreal Canadiens tonight.
On Saturday, the Montreal Canadiens shocked the Pittsburgh Penguins by beating them 3-2 in overtime. The Pens will try to even up their Stanley Cup Playoffs play-in round series against the Habs on Monday starting at 8:00 p.m. EST. For the second straight game, this matchup will be the primetime game.
Saturday’s game wasn’t short on excitement or drama. It’s the Stanley Cup Playoffs, so excitement and drama are expected. Expect Game 2 to feature as much drama and excitement, if not more, than Game 1.

PREVIEW
MONTREAL CANADIENS
Carey Price will be in net, as expected. He was masterful in Game 1, especially in the first period when he turned away 18 shots on goal. The Canadiens are going to need him to be at his best again if they want to upset the Pens again.
Keep an eye on Nick Suzuki. He was terrific in Game 1 for Montreal. Also, their top line of Tomas Tatar, Phillip Dannault, and Brendan Gallagher was active in Game 1 and I expect more of the same for Game 2.
PITTSBURGH PENGUINS
Despite losing Game 1, the Penguins have to feel pretty good about themselves. After allowing the first two goals of the game, they were able to force overtime. As long as the Pens stick to their game and don’t let Price frustrate them, this series is still well within reach for them.
The Penguins are sticking with Matt Murray in goal, though don’t be surprised if he has a very short leash. Tristan Jarry is one of the best backup goalies in the NHL.
