A day after a dramatic Game 2, the Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets square off in Game 3 of their Stanley Cup Playoffs play-in series.

Saturday’s Game 1 saw the Calgary Flames make a huge statement and answer a lot of questions by beating the Winnipeg Jets soundly 4-1. On Monday, Winnipeg managed to even up their Stanley Cup Playoffs play-in round series despite not having two of their best players. Tuesday will see what should a pivotal Game 3.

Expect a hard-fought match in Game 3 as both teams are going to try to take a much-needed series lead and put their opponent on the verge of elimination.

INJURIES

CALGARY FLAMES

Defenseman Juuso Valimaki is still recovering from a torn knee ligament, which occurred last summer. Travis Hamonic will not be playing because he decided to opt-out of the postseason.

WINNIPEG JETS

Bryan Little and Mark Letestu will not be playing, as they’re both out for the postseason. Both Patrik Laine and Mark Scheifele were injured in Game 1. They are each listed as day-to-day and it sounds like at least one of them could return for Game 3.

PREVIEW

CALGARY FLAMES

The Flames looked very dominant in Game 1. However, they looked rather pedestrian in Game 2. They were undisciplined in the third period, which allowed the Jets to run away with the game.

WINNIPEG JETS

The Jets needed a win in Game 2 and they managed to pull it out. Connor Hellebuyck was huge for them. Expect him to get the start in net once again.
