The New York Islanders will try to take a 2-0 series lead in their Stanley Cup Playoffs play-in round series against the Florida Panthers at noon.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs are back. In the first game on Tuesday, the Florida Panthers will try to even up their series against the New York Islanders, who bested them 2-1 in Game 1 on Saturday. This match starts at 12:00 p.m. noon EST.
Game 2 will be a key game in this series. Only one team has ever come back from a 2-0 series deficit in a five-game series. Obviously, it would behoove the Panthers to win Game 2. Likewise, the Islanders would love to put their opponents’ backs against the wall with another win today.

PREVIEW
FLORIDA PANTHERS
The Panthers couldn’t generate much offense against the Islanders on Saturday. They’ll need to find a way to crack their tough defense or they’ll be in a 2-0 series hole, which is very hard to get out of. Sergei Bobrovsky will get the start in goal.
NEW YORK ISLANDERS
It wasn’t pretty, but the Islanders found a way to win in Game 1. Their offense struggled at times, but their defense was strong enough to hold onto their 2-1 lead. Semyon Varlamov will probably be getting the start, as he was great in Game 1. However, Trotz has yet to confirm who the starting goaltender will be. Thomas Greiss will be backing him up.
