Stanley Cup Playoffs: New York Islanders vs. Florida Panthers Game 3 start time, live stream, TV schedule
The Florida Panthers will try to extend their season today when they take on the New York Islanders in Game 3 of their Stanley Cup Playoffs play-in round series.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs could be over soon for the Florida Panthers, who find themselves down 2-0 in their best-of-five series against the New York Islanders. 24 hours after losing to the Isles in Game 2, the Panthers will get a chance to extend their season on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 12:00 p.m. EST.
Game 3 is desperation time for Florida. They’ve been unable to solve the Islanders during this series. Florida had high hopes going into this season, so one would have to think not even making it to the true Stanley Cup Playoffs would be unacceptable for them.

NEW YORK ISLANDERS
Johnny Boychuk is questionable for Game 3. Mathew Barzal suffered a huge hit in Game 2, but he stayed in the game. Still, keep an eye on his status.
PREVIEW
FLORIDA PANTHERS
The Panthers blew two leads yesterday. That’s something you simply can’t afford to do against a team like the Islanders. After allowing four goals, the team could go with Chris Driedger instead of Sergei Bobrovsky in goal.
NEW YORK ISLANDERS
In Game 2, the Islanders showed their relentless determination. They overcame two deficits to storm back and win 4-2. It wasn’t their prettiest defensive game, but their offense did enough to battle back. Since they have games on consecutive days, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Thomas Greiss in goal to give Semyon Varlamov a break.
