The Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning will do battle in the round-robin tournament of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

On Aug. 5, starting at 4:00 p.m. EST, the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning will square off in the second game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for each team. The former lost their first round-robin tournament game to the Philadelphia Flyers. Meanwhile, the latter won against the Washington Capitals in a shootout.

Both teams are looking to get better seeding in the postseason, so expect both teams to be very active today. Boston will be the home team in this game even though this game, much like all the games in the Eastern Conference round-robin tournament, is in Toronto.

Tuukka Rask will be starting for the Bruins while the Lightning will likely be going with Andrei Vasilevskiy. This will be a meeting of two of the three Vezina Trophy favorites.

INJURIES

TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING

The Lightning are mostly healthy, though it doesn’t appear team captain Steven Stamkos will play, as he’s recovering from an injury. He’s still practicing with the team, which is a good sign. It’s likely the Bolts are just being careful with him, as they can’t afford to lose him long-term.

BOSTON BRUINS

Forward Ondrej Kase is listed as day-to-day. Defenseman Kevin Millar is on the injured reserve list and will not be playing.
