The Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche will do battle in their final round robin game to determine the top seed in the Western Conference.

The Vegas Golden Knights face the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. EST. Each team has a chance to earn themselves an undefeated record of 3-0 and the elusive number 1 seed in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The number one seed would assure them a date with the Chicago Blackhawks, who as the number 12 seed, upset the Edmonton Oilers. In regards to an injury update, the only player we have yet to see is Max Pacioretty, but Pete Deboer said that he is very close to returning.

The Colorado Avalanche are a very lethal team with lots of skill through their line up, they too have a perfect record of 2-0 beating Dallas and St Louis. The players to watch of course are Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, and young rookie Cale Makar.

In regards to who will play in net, we have yet to confirm who will play as both goalies have played one game. My best bet if Deboer is rotating we could see Robin Lehner back in the crease. The loser of this game will face the wily Arizona Coyotes who beat the Nashville Predators in 4 games with a stunning OT winner.

The home-ice advantage might not be there but a chance to finish as the number one seed makes your life a little easier. The fact you could be playing the lowest seed every round you advance could be advantageous to the Knights.

The game can be seen on Sportsnet in Canada for English viewers while people in Quebec who want to watch the game in french can tune in to TVA Sports. The game will be broadcast in the US on NBC.
