The Carolina Hurricanes will try to even up their Stanley Cup Playoffs series against the Boston Bruins at 8:00 p.m. EST.
On Thursday, August 13, the Carolina Hurricanes will try to get their first win of their Stanley Cup Playoffs series against the Boston Bruins. They nearly got a win in Game 1, but Boston bested them in the second overtime, thanks to a David Pastrnak goal.
Assuming the game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning ends on time (and as we’ve learned that shouldn’t be assumed), the game will start at 8:00 p.m. EST. Let’s hope for everyone’s sake that the Bolts and Blue Jackets don’t have another five-overtime affair up their sleeves!

STARTING GOALIES
There should be no changes to the starting goalies for today for either team. For the Hurricanes, Petr Mrazek is expected to get the start while James Reimer will back him up, though head coach Rod Brind’amour hasn’t confirmed anything yet. Tuukka Rask will get the nod for the Bruins, with Jaroslav Halak serving as his backup.
