Will Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs series between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets live up to Game 1?
The real Stanley Cup Playoffs arrived on Tuesday, when the Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets had a classic five-overtime game. It saw Tampa finally beat Columbus after being swept by them in last year’s postseason. Game 2, which is on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. EST, should provide more drama and excitement
Brayden Point ended the six-hour affair with a goal in the fifth overtime. Several records were set. Blue Jackets goaltender Joonas Korpisalo stopped a record 85 shots on goal while defenseman Seth Jones set a record by playing 65:06 on the ice. That’s flat out incredible.
Hopefully, Game 2 won’t be quite as long. Otherwise, fans of the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes, who play at 8 p.m. EST, might start hating the Lightning and Blue Jackets. But let’s at least hope it’s as exciting and suspenseful as Game 1!

INJURIES
Remarkably, nobody’s injured from that ridiculous five-overtime affair. Steven Stamkos is still out for the Lightning. Victor Hedman, who was a game-time decision for Game 1, should be good to go in Game 2.
STARTING GOALIES
There should be no changes to the starting goalies for today. Joonas Korpisalo will be starting for the Blue Jackets while Andrei Vasilevskiy will be getting the nod for the Lightning. The former will be backed up by Matiss Kivlenieks while the latter will be backed up by Curtis McElhinney.
