The Vegas Golden Knights will look to become the first team to book a spot in the 2nd round of the playoffs with the potential to sweep the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Vegas Golden Knights will have the chance to end the series tonight in game 4 of their best of 7 against the Chicago Blackhawks. A quick turnaround for the Knights as both teams played last night but in this type of situation, maybe quicker is better.

If they do advance they would play the lowest remaining seed in the west due to the fact they are the number one seed. The Chicago Blackhawks will be the home team on Sunday night and will look to keep their playoff hopes alive.

More from Puck Prose

Marc-Andre Fleury got the start last night due to the back to back situation and was solid in net making 26 saves on 27 shots. William Karlsson scored the game’s first goal, a shorthanded goal to boot before Patrick Brown who was playing in his first-ever playoff game scored his first-ever playoff goal.

Both Paul Stasny and Tomas Nosek missed Game 3 as they both were declared unfit to play so we will probably know closer to game time if one or both makes a return to the lineup. Expect Robin Lehner to be in the net for this one.

The Knights were in a similar situation last year when they faced the San Jose Sharks when they were up 3-1 and they ended up losing that series so it will be important that the team focuses all their energy on Game 4.

The Chicago Blackhawks will be playing for their playoff lives so expect a hungry, desperate team trying to stay alive.
