The Boston Bruins will try to grab a 3-1 series lead over the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 4 on Monday at 8:00 p.m. EST.
Game 3 wasn’t pretty for the Boston Bruins, but it was a win nonetheless. And it was a win that let the Bruins grab a 2-1 series lead over the Carolina Hurricanes. In Game 4, Boston will try to grab the 3-1 series lead while Carolina will try to tie up the series.
This series has been a physical one thus far and both teams are starting to feel the effects of that physicality. Carolina has been resilient and tough throughout the past two seasons and they’ll need to show those qualities if they hope to win this series.

INJURY REPORT
As I said earlier, both teams are feeling the effects of what has been a brutal series. The Boston Bruins will once again be without David Pastrnak. He hasn’t played since Game 1 and apparently reaggravated an injury while celebrating his Game 1 overtime winner. The Bruins will also be without Kevan Miller, who is on the IR. They’ll also be without Tuukka Rask, who opted out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Carolina Hurricanes will be without Andrei Svechnikov, who has been deemed unfit to play. That’s incredibly vague, but it’s not hard to tell that he has a lower-body injury of some sort. Svechnikov got involved in a battle with Bruins captain Zdeno Chara and his leg buckled as he fell to the ground.
STARTING GOALTENDERS
The Bruins will be sticking with Jaroslav Halak, who got them the win in Game 3. On the other side of the ice, nothing has been confirmed yet, but the Carolina Hurricanes will likely turn back to Petr Mrazek, who has started Games 1 and 3 for them.
