Dallas Stars vs. Colorado Avalanche: Game 1 live stream, TV schedule, updated odds
The Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche are set to begin their second round series on Saturday starting at 8 p.m. EST.
The second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs are set to get underway on Saturday, Aug. 22. That’s when the Dallas Stars will take on the Colorado Avalanche. This game starts at 8:00 p.m. EST and features two teams with completely different playing styles.
Colorado is at their best when they’re playing an up-tempo game. Led by Hart Trophy finalist Nathan MacKinnon, who is tied for the playoff lead in points with 13, the Avalanche are coming off a five-game series against the Arizona Coyotes, which the Avs won 4-1.
On the other side of the ice, Dallas likes to slow things down. They’re great defensively, but tend to struggle on offense. However, their offense showed signs of breaking out against the Calgary Flames in the first round, with both Denis Gurianov and Joe Pavelski recording hat tricks. Miro Heiskanen is just one point shy of MacKinnon and Elias Pettersson of the Vancouver Canucks for the postseason lead in points.
