The Philadelphia Flyers and New York Islanders begin their Stanley Cup Playoffs series on Monday at 7:00 p.m. EST.
On Monday, Aug. 24, the second round series between the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Islanders will get underway. This matchup will start at 7:00 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on NBCSN, CBC, SN, and TVAS.
The Islanders are coming off two series wins over the Florida Panthers in the play-in round and the Washington Capitals in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. So far, they’ve won seven games while losing just two in Toronto.
On the other side of the ice, the Flyers emerged from the Eastern Conference round-robin tournament as the top seed in the Eastern Conference. After that, they beat the Montreal Canadiens in six games. The Flyers will be the home team for this game by virtue of being the higher seed.

INJURY REPORT
The Flyers won’t have Oskar Lindblom, who’s still getting back into shape after beating a cancer diagnosis. We wish him the best in recovering. He could get back into the lineup in September if the Flyers are still in the playoffs.
Meanwhile, it doesn’t look like the Islanders will have Johnny Boychuk on the ice. He’s been out since Game 1 against the Panthers. They could have Cal Clutterbuck back on the ice.
STARTING GOALTENDERS
The Flyers will be going with Carter Hart, who has been very good for them thus far this postseason. Meanwhile, the Islanders will counter with Semyon Varlamov.
