For the first time in these playoffs, the Vegas Golden Knights will try to even the series at two against the Dallas Stars after losing Game 3.

The Vegas Golden Knights are trailing for the first time in these Stanley Cup playoffs and will have to bounce back in a pivotal Game 4 tonight against the Dallas Stars. The day off yesterday was marred by a rumor that Vegas goaltender Robin Lehner had agreed in principle to a five-year contract and that an agreement had been made in June.

Lehner quickly squashed those rumors and made this statement at his media availability.

“It’s not true. Nothing is finalized. It’s kind of annoying that we are here in the conference final and people are saying things they don’t know. If it would have been finalized it would have been finalized. I’m here to win a Cup not discuss this stuff.”

The Knights lost a tough Game 3 in overtime when Alexander Radulov scored 30 seconds into the extra frame to give the Stars a 3-2 win and a 2-1 lead in the best of seven. Shea Theodore and Alex Tuch once again provide the scoring while Jamie Oleksiak and Jamie Benn scored in regulation for Dallas.

Theodore currently leads the team in playoff points with 18 (7 goals,11 assists) while Mark Stone is a close second with 17 (7 goals,10 assists). Expect any changes to the lineup to be confirmed closer to game time and we should see Lehner in net.
