San Jose Sharks

The Sharks injected some color into the NHL, with the addition of teal. It was a massive hit and has stood the test of time from the dreaded 1990’s (at least design-wise). But which jersey is the best? Let’s find out.

The Best: 1991-98 Home/30th Anniversary Alternate

These are on the shortlist of best NHL jerseys, period. The teal is such a unique look and it works so, so well. These Anniversary jerseys are based off of the 1991-98 home uniforms, and the white/black/silver striping really breaks up the teal in a perfect way. We wish those stripes were still around on the current unis.

The Worst: 2020-21 Reverse Retro

From 1998 until 2007, the Sharks used jerseys very similar to this. But, there was a very important difference. The original jerseys basically swapped the silver and teal. The main jersey was teal, the accents were silver, white or black. If you have that amazing teal color, use it! That’s our gripe with these.
