2021 Stanley Cup Final: Game 3 Date, TV, Lineups, Streaming, More
Allow us to get you ready for Game 3 of the 2021 NHL Stanley Cup Final.
We’re off to Montreal as the 2021 NHL Stanley Cup Final shifts to Canada for Games 3 & 4, and the Tampa Bay Lightning are now just two wins away from repeating as champions after beating the Montreal Canadiens in Game 2 on Wednesday to take a 2-0 series lead.
It was an absolute backbreaker of a loss for the Habs who dominated in Game 2, outshooting the Bolts 43-23 but they came up against a red hot goalie in Andrei Vasilevskiy who absolutely stood on his head with a 42-save performance.

Some costly mistakes were also the downfall of the Canadiens, and they must now win four of its next five games if they are to pull off more heroics and win their Stanley Cup since 1993, but they will have to do so against the defending champions who haven’t lost consecutive Playoff games since 2019.
In other words – it is a very, very tough ask.
However, being back on home ice will be a huge boost for Montreal and, while the Bell Centre won’t be full tonight, it should still be loud with some fans in attendance and the history and the aura of the building will serve its team well.
Not to mention, they will have their Head Coach Dominique Ducharme back behind the bench after he cleared COVID-19 Protocol, and that should benefit the Habs further.
Carey Price is due a monster game in the Stanley Cup Final too and the Lightning showed in Game 2 that they do have weaknesses, so tonight is the ideal opportunity for the Canadiens to get back in this series.

X-Factors
Montreal Canadiens
Carey Price has been okay in the Stanley Cup Final so far, although he was shelled for five goals in Game 1 and he probably could have done better with Anthony Cirelli’s goal in Game 2.
He was given a lot more help by his defense on Wednesday after being left exposed in Game 1 but, with the Canadiens now staring a 2-0 series deficit in the face, they will need their goalie to have a trademark monster game.
Back on home ice with the whole of Montreal ready for its first home Stanley Cup Final game since 1993, tonight is the perfect opportunity for Price to stand on his head, put his team on his back and win them a game in order to really make this a series.
Tampa Bay Lightning
Victor Hedman is an absolute beast and he’s a horse on the backend for the Lightning, able to play in all situations, contribute offense, man the power play, kill penalties, log monster minutes and he’s a matchup nightmare.
With the Canadiens starting to get into do-or-die territory down 2-0 in this series, the offense will start to take more risks tonight and, as a result, Tampa Bay will need their stud defenseman to play big minutes against their top two lines and do what he does best – shut them down and absolutely dominate.
Prediction
I’ve been wrong with both of my predictions so far in the 2021 NHL Stanley Cup and that probably won’t change after tonight, but I’m going to give it a good go anyway.
As mentioned above, this really is do-or-die for the Montreal Canadiens now and, back on home ice for Game 3, I think the past will inspire them and, led by a vintage Carey Price performance, they will do just enough to win this one and make it a best-of-four series.
