Blackhawks Final Home Game Definitely Has Some Extra Weight To It

The Chicago Blackhawks and Vegas Golden Knights might not be bitter rivals, but stopping any team’s playoff chances definitely can provide for some extra excitement.
The Vegas Golden Knights need to win out the rest of the season. With two games left against the Blackhawks and Blues, they are going to be doing whatever they can to win. Chicago on the other hand is entering their regular-season home finale with disappointment looking back on the season.
The Blackhawks wanted to be in the playoffs and while they don’t have that they do have an opportunity.
The Golden Knights are a tough team. One definitely more desperate than Chicago to win especially tonight. Some stars on the Blackhawks have been speaking out that they believe they are better than their record shows, well now this is your chance to prove it.
Ending the regular season with a big win against a team like Vegas could be just the situation that could sway management to keep a certain player or make a certain move. This is definitely a game guys like Dylan Strome, Dominik Kubalik and Kevin Lankinen are going to want to shine in.
All eyes were on the game in Dallas last night between the Stars and Golden Knights. Now, this is an opportunity for the Blackhawks to have their final game in the spotlight for the year.
The San Jose Sharks rose to the occasion to try and stop a rival in Vegas from making the postseason. While the Hawks and Knights might not be as big of rivals, that doesn’t mean that competitive nature shouldn’t come out in a game like tonight.
The Blackhawks are planning for a big rebuild over the course of the next handful of seasons, something even Patrick Kane has spoken about in recent days. The only way the Blackhawks’ players are going to change some minds about completely tearing things down is by having a good game tonight.
Chicago has one more game after tonight on the road against the Buffalo Sabres on Friday. After that it will just be a long offseason once again without a chance to compete for the Stanley Cup.
