I apologize for missing the past few days of previews and predictions. I did keep up the predictions on Twitter so we do have those to add to the overall score from the past few days. Let’s dive in with the matchups from last night.

Florida Panthers 3 – Washington Capitals 2 (Series tied 2-2)

Pittsburgh Penguins 7 – New York Rangers 2 (PIT leads series 3-1)

Calgary Flames 4 – Dallas Stars 1 (Series tied 2-2)

Colorado Avalanche 5 – Nashville Predators 3 (COL wins series 4-0)

I was 1/4 on the night (not my best performance) and I am 14/28 on my total matchups so far.

Just like that one series is done. We won’t see any series-ending games tonight though with every matchup being tied 2-2 let’s dive in with the matchups.

Carolina Hurricanes vs Boston Bruins – 7 PM ET

Series tied 2-2

This series has gotten a lot more interesting over the course of the past few days. What looked like a runaway effort for Carolina has turned into back-to-back wins for the Bruins with momentum on their side. Can they get the one win they need in Carolina tonight though?

My Prediction: Boston wins game five.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Tampa Bay Lightning – 7:30 PM ET

Series tied 2-2

This series has been back and forth for the first four games but tonight maybe things will finally change. That experience in Tampa Bay is bound to kick in at some point and for them, it is going to be a lot better to win tonight than have to win two tough games in a row against a Leafs’ team desperate for a shot at the second round.

My Prediction: Tampa Bay wins game five.

Minnesota Wild vs St. Louis Blues – 9:30 PM ET

Series tied 2-2

I almost don’t even want to give a prediction here besides to say, please let it be a close game and not another blowout game one way or another. Let’s keep tonight’s game close and maybe play an OT matchup. In all seriousness, back home tied two games apiece definitely should send the Wild out flying tonight against the Blues.

My Prediction: Minnesota wins game five.

Edmonton Oilers vs Los Angeles Kings – 10 PM ET

Series tied 2-2

Another back and forth series that has been fun so far. The Edmonton Oilers definitely have to be feeling the pressure to get this series over sooner rather than later. Edmonton was the favorite going in but now they look just as evenly matched against the Kings. The future of the franchise might ride on a good showing tonight otherwise changes might have to be made on the roster. Therefore I think tonight is Edmonton’s night for a statement win.

My Prediction: Edmonton wins game five.
