The Chicago Blackhawks have a busy offseason on the horizon. With the team outside of the playoffs and starting a rebuild without a first-round pick, anything can happen leading up to the draft.

It is hard to imagine the Blackhawks going through this draft without taking someone in the first round. Because their top pick went away in a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets, they are going to have to think outside the box to bring in a top prospect.

Just because the team doesn’t have a first-round pick now, doesn’t mean they won’t by the time the draft rolls around. Today let’s go over who on the roster the team could trade that could bring in a first-round pick.

I am not going to talk about the big three guys on this roster cap-wise. Meaning we won’t be talking about Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane or Seth Jones right now. While I do think the Hawks wouldn’t mind moving any one of them, they are going to have a pretty hard time getting a deal done.

So today we are going to focus on the three players I think the team could trade and probably should if they really want to go all-in on a rebuild under Kyle Davidson.
