The Edmonton Oilers are one of the best teams in the NHL regarding fantasy sports. Their top players put up many points, and usually, the team does not lose games due to a lack of scoring goals.
During the 2021-22 NHL season the Edmonton Oilers scored 290 goals, the seventh best goal total in the league. On average, they scored 3.48 goals per game and had an above-average power play capitalizing on 25.96% of their chances on the man advantage.
In 2021-22, their team was led by Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl who both have over 100 points. McDavid had 123 and Draisaitl had 110. Outside of that, they had five other players who put up 40 or more points in Tyson Barrie, Kailer Yamamoto, Evan Bouchard, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Zach Hyman. First up has to be Connor McDavid. This is not a sleeper pick for a fantasy team as McDavid could go number one overall in any draft. He put up the most points in the NHL last season and there is a good chance he will do it again this upcoming year.
Every season has seen McDavid find a way to elevate his game further. in 2020-21 he put up 105 points in 56 games, and he picked up right where he left off adding 123 points in 80 games this past year. He is more than a point-per-game player and is someone who is guaranteed to give you a handful of points every night.
