The Chicago Blackhawks are entering the 2022-23 season in a tough position. They do not have the optimism they had last season when they went out and added Seth Jones and Marc-Andre Fleury.

The Blackhawks are now entering a tough rebuild that will drastically change the team. We saw it this offseason when the team traded away Dach and DeBrincat and chose not to re-sign Strome and Kubalik.

This is going to take time, and the Hawks are going to struggle on the ice. However, there are a few players who could succeed this upcoming season. The Hawks have been in a position where Patrick Kane would get new linemates before in the past, and he has always found a way to make it work.

Max Domi signed with the Blackhawks on a one-year three million dollar contract. He is someone the team will definitely be looking to move at the deadline for any assets they can get back. Considering he is opening training camp playing alongside Patrick Kane, his value could go up throughout the season.

Check out some of Domi’s highlights:

The Blackhawks have Domi on a line with Taylor Raddysh and Patrick Kane. Kane has made a lot of different players great in the past. He has shown that he can make a great play with anyone on his line, and I think this is a perfect opportunity for the Hawks to try and up Domi’s value by playing him with Kane.

This is also great news for fantasy hockey players as Domi could be a great move later in the draft as he will be getting a lot of playing time this season in Chicago. Adding players to trade them later in the season is a new strategy for Blackhawks fans after a decade of success, but it is the best strategy during a rebuild, and the Blackhawks are going to do their best to get as big of a return for Domi and another offseason addition like Andreas Athanasiou.

The Blackhawks start their preseason schedule on Tuesday with a matchup against the St. Louis Blues.
