The Anaheim Ducks vs Vancouver Canucks game this past Thursday, November 3, 2022, did not disappoint in any manner.
In fact, both teams played with poise, the Vancouver Canucks being the better team this past tilt. Boy, was the game entertaining and went well for the Vancouver Canucks!
As the commentator at the end of the game stated at the end of this bout: “It had a bit of everything.” And I agree. Both team’s came prepared, ready to play.
Evenly matched up with a similar style of play.
Vancouver, who were more committed to the puck in this game, came together as a team as a combined effort. The defense took charge of this onslaught of eight-goals scored for the Canucks.
Primarily, by setting up plays and entering the rush, during the breaks for the Canucks team. Vancouver, played according to the coaching staff’s play that gave the team an advantage entering the contest.
Scoring goals was not a problem, making plays in the offensive zone was not an issue and demonstrated nicely by the offensive power for the Canucks.I was thoroughly impressed with the game the forwards played with, also committing to the defensive game as well.
Overall, the Vancouver Canucks made a huge statement with this game, in my opinion, saying:
“We’re here to win”
The Anaheim Ducks’ valiant effort.
The Anaheim Ducks played with poise as well, coming off somewhat of a hot streak of their own, before Thursday night’s affair.
The team relied on fast breaks and solo effort, where some play’s Anaheim did capitalize on them. The team remained in the game and persisted on keeping up with the Canucks, even though the Ducks could not produce as much.
The balance of the team is complete with a few tweaks needed in the center, and maybe defense, but as a young team they look great. The stick-handling ability, along with the speed and gameplay, is quite impressive as well.
Overall, this team is going to get better during the stretch and make a run. The interesting scenario will be if the Ducks are able to play under the pressure.
