Hockey Fever is Taking Over in Winnipeg as the Jets Win
I will not hesitate to say this, but yes, the Winnipeg Jets are for real.
The offensive power the team possesses is on absolute fire, due to the rich balanced formation the team plays with. Chemistry is one thing, however, this team is an incredibly organized and well-coached squad of players.
The Jets, who are off to a hot start, is a team that has faced adversity from the offseason to the start of the regular season. Now, they’re turning heads, to say the least.
The Winnipeg Jets winning is bringing on Hockey Fever to its hometown.
The amount of talent in the players the Jets management has put together at a modest level, even in facing scrutiny, is paying dividends for the team.
This team as I reckon is poised to become a powerhouse sometime down the line or maybe in the seasons to come.
With the current roster, you can say the team may get away with a few crafty wins consistently down the stretch of the season.
The current cap space for the Jets organization lies around the mark of two million USD.
We can say certain tweaks are needed for the Jets team in order to become that powerhouse. Perhaps one way would be adding more depth players, rather than elite to star additions.
In one way, management will have to carefully evaluate which players will be willing to take on the centerpiece role and lead the team to glory.
An interesting scenario is that the Jets will have to choose between the players they have now and who will be available come the trade deadline. Being content with this squad is also a genuine possibility though and nevertheless not a bad outcome.
The shutdown defense for Winnipeg has presented many difficulties to the opposing teams and quite frankly it is getting even better with a character win over the Dallas Stars this past Tuesday evening.
As I mentioned, the offensive power is there and to note the puck possession during the games is in Winnipeg’s favor.
A well-oiled machine is what you can call this Winnipeg Jets team that is bringing on the hockey fever. Continuing to produce will not be an issue and taking initiative is what the team does best in games.
The goaltending, in my opinion, is a Vezina-like tandem including both goaltenders, who are playing fantastically, especially Connor Hellebuyck.
This is a strong team to contend against overall and I do not care what anybody says. The Winnipeg Jets are for real team as I reiterate.
The most important fact is that the team was underestimated and not taken seriously, which I did not believe in, however, the Jets are shining bright.
Hopefully, come around post-season time, we can see this team take off and make a serious run for the Stanley Cup.
