Two years ago, adidas and the NHL revealed Reverse Retro uniforms. They looked great and the new styles made for an impressive debut. In fact, the second the first wave of uniforms were finalized, design teams started to think about the 2.0.

It took nearly 800 days, but it was worth it.

Today, the NHL Reverse Retro gear is available to order. You’ll have your pick of headwear, shirts, hoodies… and of course jerseys. That’s why you’re here. The jersey.

And we don’t blame you.

The NHL and adidas are really excited about the Reverse Retro line. They think fans will be just as hyped as they were two years ago.

“It’s really emotional,” Brian Jennings, Chief Brand Officer and Senior Executive VP at the NHL, told NHL.com. “It’s been a long process, but when we see the fan responses, that’s the most rewarding part about the job.”

So what’s the story behind the NHL Reverse Retro design for the 2022-23 season? You can see a breakdown of each team at NHL.com.

Early fan favorites seem to include the Florida Panthers, Washington Capitals and San Jose Sharks… but if you ask me, I dig all of them. I just love the flare they provide.
