As you have been watching the Toronto Maple Leafs as of late, they have been scoring, and with that scoring, they have modestly won three out of five games with two OT losses.

The three games that the Toronto Maple Leafs won were based on the team’s efforts to work as a combined unit.

How are the Toronto Maple Leafs players adjusting?

Like some of his counterparts, Matt Murray is off to somewhat of a red-hot start, even though the team lost the third game against the New Jersey Devils in overtime.

Most importantly, the captain John Tavares is on pace to score 82 points, accumulating a point per game thus far. The skating has been wonderful and the passing is top notch as most of their goals are coming from two-man assists.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have picked up a point in the last five games.

The core has matured enough to withstand the storm time in and time out, mustering up ways to be nifty on-ice.

The high-octane offense has come together to work efficiently and is starting to pick up the pace within a solid chemistry formation.

Sheldon Keefe’s brilliance will have to motivate the Leafs squad.

The Toronto Maple Leafs team in general is quite the strong team to play against with the talent they possess.

Coach Sheldon Keefe will have to implement a new type of system that will balance out the equation for a tougher approach to complement the skill level.

That will help the team’s need to pick up more wins while working on the strengths and weaknesses of the prime players on the Leafs roster.

If need be, moving forward Nicholas Robertson to the first line with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner may help the youngster drastically and mature into a more prime role, adding to the core.

The defense is still strong in most parts but needs a little more speed for depth purposes, and I believe defenseman TJ Brodie coming back should help with that problem.

It would make sense that they allow themselves to feel out the jitters now, rather than later.

Will moves be made accordingly?

GM Kyle Dubas is patiently waiting on this team to turn around its fortunes, because in all fairness, his job is on the line. Given that the Toronto Maple Leafs are a strong team to contend with, however, they will be tested heavily in the upcoming playoffs.

In my opinion, the most interesting scenario will be what major moves are made in the form of acquisitions to help maintain a championship run for the Stanley Cup.

One question on this matter is how will the team be prepared to win at all costs down the stretch.

Particularly, when will these moves be made, and what type of players is the Toronto Maple Leafs management looking to acquire? Or simply, are they content with this team in general?

The main thing is that the tweaks will have to happen to build a Stanley Cup team in some manner, and we will see how or have to wait another year for the Toronto Maple Leafs to progress within the postseason.

The best thing to do is keep a sharp eye on the Maple Leafs and listen carefully to what will have to be said, because, this might just be the year.
