The 2023 NHL All-Star game is here, and the stars are out to showcase their skills.

The NHL All-Star skills competition was on February 3rd and the All-Star game is on February 4th. Both of these events come to life from the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida, home of the NHL’s Florida Panthers.

Detroit Red Wings Larkin to showcase speed at All-Star weekend

Detroit Red Wings fans should particularly be watching because of one reason. That reason is Red Wings center and captain Dylan Larkin.

Larkin has put up some good numbers this season on a Detroit team that is struggling. The Detroit Red Wings faithful will be able to see Larkin play with elite talent at the All-Star game.

If Larkin put up good numbers on a Red Wings team that lacks scoring depth, imagine what he can do with some of the NHL’s best.

This will be Larkin’s third All-Star game and second straight. His first All-Star game took place in his rookie season. During that All-Star game, Larkin set the fastest time in the fastest-skater competition, 13.72 seconds, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Larkin has been an elite player with the Detroit Red Wings since his rookie year and has led the team since. He has been everything for the Red Wings and has been a huge part of the team’s success.

This season, Larkin once again took part in the fastest-skater competition and will take part in the All-Star game, playing for the Atlantic Division.

His teammates during the All-Star weekend include Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark, Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov, Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk, Montreal Canadians forward Nick Suzuki, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner, and Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk.

Larkin leads the Detroit Red Wings in points this season, posting 15 goals and 28 assists for 43 points in 47 games. The 26-year-old Larkin has been a staple on the Red Wings’ top line and plays a solid two-way game.

Detroit Red Wings fans should tune into the All-Star game to see Larkin at the top of his game, skating hard and putting his scoring skills to good use.

This weekend could help Larkin in the second half. He needs to have fun this weekend and gear up for the second half of the season, which is guaranteed to be hectic.
