When Trevor Moore scored in overtime for the Los Angeles Kings on Friday night, it gave his club a 2-1 series lead over the Edmonton Oilers. It sparked a debate that may last the rest of the series.

Of course, as you know by now, the goal that Moore scored was very controversial. That is because of the fact that a puck popped in the air right before that and may or may not have been touched by a high stick from Gabe Vilardi.

It was reviewed at length, but they deemed that there was no conclusive evidence that there should have been a stoppage in play. There were plenty of angry Oilers players and coaches, but the game was over.

Now, coming into game four, the team from the north is going to be extra motivated. They were seen as the better team coming into the series, and now they are down again. They have yet to have a series lead as their one win tied it up.

The Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings are playing a very fun series.

Connor McDavid finally scored a goal in the series. He did that and then scored another one 100 seconds later. The Oilers need him to keep going in order to win this series but they also need some of their depth players to come through.

With how game three ended, it is fair to assume that they are going to be very angry. That could cause them to come out firing on all cylinders. With the depth they have behind Connor McDavid these days, that makes them incredibly scary.

Los Angeles might have to weather the storm early in this one, but they have shown that they can do that against Edmonton. They might be the only team in the NHL that has what they need to fend off the potent Edmonton offense.

We have seen a lot of scoring from the same few players on each team so far in this series. It might be wise to think about the depth players stepping up just a tad in game four. The team that sees that happen might be the one that comes out on top, as long as the stars also produce.

With all of these factors in mind, it feels like a series that deserves to go seven games. The Oilers might want to get one on the road here to tie it up. As mentioned before, they will surely be motivated to do so.
