The Pittsburgh Penguins would be smart to consider someone like Pius Suter.

It is very interesting to see that Pius Suter is still on the market. After some good seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks and Pius Suter, he should find himself a new NHL home soon.

He doesn’t jump off the scoresheet every night but his underlying numbers are very good. As mentioned before, their forward depth could use some help and Pius Suter is someone who could provide that help.

Unlike Tatar, Suter probably isn’t getting top-six minutes on most nights but he would be someone that could help them solidify the bottom-six roles that they need.

He also probably doesn’t cost that much so signing him wouldn’t have to end their off-season spending.

Forwards like this are important in the NHL. and can be the difference in making the playoffs or just missing as they did last year. With some of the other additions made up front for the Penguins last year, Suter could be a big help.
