3. Detroit Red Wings

The Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia Flyers could make a Carter Hart trade.

The Detroit Red Wings seem to be in the mix for lots of good players that become available lately. They want to take that next step as well.

They are kind of in the same boat as the Ottawa Senators right now. They have a good young team and are trying to take a major step in a tough Atlantic Division.

Ville Husso and James Reimer are probably not the duo that puts them ahead of the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Tampa Bay Lightning, or Florida Panthers.

Adding a guy like Carter Hart might do that. It will at least advance their status on the playoff bubble and they likely would compete for the postseason all year long.

Hart is also very young still and could be with a team for a long time and playing at a high level the whole time.

With the young core that Detroit is building (Lucas Raymond, Moritz Seider, Dylan Larkin, and Alex DeBrincat amongst others), there is a lot to look forward to.

Of course, every team in the league would love to add a good young goalie but these three feel the most likely to get a deal done with the Flyers at this point in time.
