Training Camp Begins: Sept. 20, 2023
The official start of training camp is this Wednesday, with preseason matchups starting this weekend. Training camp is a great time for fans across the league to watch their young prospects play. There have already been some standout performances from prospects, like one young Columbus Blue Jacket who could very well be playing in the NHL this season.
Opening Night: Oct. 10, 2023
Opening night is one of a kind, what could be better than a start of a new season? Watching the excitement of a new season commence is great, especially with some of the marquee matchups that amp up the energy.
This season, opening night will feature three great games. The Golden Knights will lift their Stanley Cup banner against the Kraken. Sidney Crosby and the Pens will host Connor Bedard and the Hawks in Bedard’s first NHL game and the Lightning will welcome the Nashville Predators now under general manager Barry Trotz.
NHL Global Series Nov. 16-19, 2023
The NHL Global Series will be another fun event for fans. The Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota Wild, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs will head to Sweden for the event. There will be four games played, and while there might just be regular season points on the line, anytime the NHL can grow the game in a new market is exciting.
2024 NHL Winter Classic Jan. 1, 2024
This is going to be a fun game. The Winter Classic in 2024 will feature a showdown of the expansion teams. The Seattle Kraken will host the Vegas Golden Knights outdoors at T-Mobile Park.
All-Star Weekend Feb. 2-3, 2024
The NHL All-Star Weekend is heading to Toronto. No matter what fans think of the All-Star game, it is a one of a kind event for the market that hosts it, and this year it is Toronto’s turn.
NHL Trade Deadline Mar. 8, 2024
The 2024 NHL Trade Deadline is a big date to have circled on the calendar. March 8, 2024 is the day! Last year there were over 20 trades made on deadline day, and there is a good chance this season’s deadline will be very similar.
End of Regular Season Apr. 18, 2024
Teams play the regular season with one goal in mind, make the playoffs. Well the 2023-24 NHL regular season comes to a close on April 18, and 16 teams will then start their run for the Stanley Cup shortly there after.
