The Philadelphia Flyers could make the Carter Hart trade a blockbuster.

The Los Angeles Kings really need better goaltending. It could be the difference between a Western Conference Finals and a first-round exit this year. Paying the price might be a good thing for them at this stage of the game.

They could even get themselves involved in a blockbuster worth a Carter Hart trade. Maybe there is a world in which they get Hart in addition to another good Flyers player. In this scenario, they are getting Carter Hart and Travis Konecny.

That is worth giving up two first-round picks, a second, and a prospect if you are the Kings. For the Flyers, that is cutting ties with your two best players in exchange for some really good rebuilding assets.

Alex Laferriere is a good prospect that the Kings like. He was a third-round pick and is expected to be an NHL player at this point. He just needs some more development. Well, it is obvious that the ice time will be more available in Philly coming up over the next handful of seasons.

Getting all of these high draft picks is also really nice for the Flyers as they really start rebuilding. It should be interesting to see how this all shakes out. With players like this possibly being shipped out, the landscape of the NHL might be changing again.
