The Arizona Coyotes are better than people think right now

The Arizona Coyotes are among the more exciting teams in the National Hockey League. They may play at a college rink but there is nothing college about their game at this moment in time. They have played some outstanding hockey up to this point.

On Monday night, Arizona took on the Chicago Blackhawks. Of course, the Hawks are one of the worst teams in the league right now and people expected Arizona to be down there too. However, they are significantly better than most would think.

In that game between Arizona and Chicago, the Yotes proved just how amazing they can be. They ended up winning the game by a final score of 8-1. Connor Bedard scored for the Hawks just 28 seconds into the contest and that would be it for them.

Arizona scored eight straight goals in what was a magnificent game for them. It was highlighted by a Michael Carcone hat trick. He also added an assist to go with his big night. He, of course, was the first star of the game.

The Arizona Coyotes took home two points in a big way on Monday night.

There were some other good performances by Coyotes players but the story of the game is the team as a whole. They really beat down a team with a much worse roster so that is a sign of the team showing some maturity.

Now, the Coyotes are 4-4-0 for eight points in the standings. They are tied with the Nashville Predators and Minnesota Wild for fourth place in the Central Division. Obviously, there is a cluster in the middle of the division right now.

The Seattle Kraken also has eight points which is what the team (Nashville) has currently holding the final Wild Card spot. It is very early in the season with a lot of hockey left (most teams haven’t even played their tenth game) but it is never too early to care about the standings.

The Coyotes may not end up being a playoff team but they are going to be much improved over the last handful of years. With some of the talent that they have now, they will be dangerous for a long time to come.

There is more talent in the pipeline coming too so they will be fun for a long time. Don’t be surprised if they turn themselves into a powerhouse over the next handful of years. In 2023-24, it is still a developmental year but they are very fun to watch right now.
