The Chicago Blackhawks, who entered Sunday on a two-game losing streak, were looking for a big win to end a miserable road trip. That did not go well for them, however, as they were defeated by the Minnesota Wild by a final score of 4-1.

This game was amongst the worst of the season for Chicago as they didn’t play well. Not only did they look wildly outmatched in terms of talent, they were just dull in every way. It didn’t look like there was much of a fight from their end.

On this road trip that saw them go 0-3, they were outscored 12-3. All three of their goals scored were with Connor Bedard on the ice. He scored one of the three goals and assisted on the other two. He is incredible but the team around him isn’t doing enough to make them competitive.

The goal that Chicago scored in this loss to Minnesota was scored by Taylor Raddysh. Bedard and Tyler Johnson made a good play to find Raddysh for the goal.

By picking up the assist on the goal scored by Raddysh, Connor Bedard is up to a nine-game point streak on the road. It is also a three-game point streak in general. He is up to 11 goals and 8 assists for 19 points in 22 games played so far this year.

The Chicago Blackhawks are looking for more from all of their players right now

Lukas Reichel was a healthy scratch in this game vs the Wild. The Hawks haven’t been seeing what they need from him in terms of his overall play this season. He has heated up offensively lately but that wasn’t enough to keep him in the lineup for this game.

Management is hoping for him to take this and bounce back from it. He is far from a bust as he has shown flashes of brilliance but he needs to continue getting better instead of going backwards. He has two goals and four assists for six points in 22 games played.

The Hawks are now set for a four-game homestand at the United Center. It will start on Tuesday night when the Nashville Predators are in town.
