The Vancouver Canucks 2024-25 season has had its ups and downs. From goaltender Thatcher Demko returning to the lineup and struggling to score goals, the Canucks season is far from over. However, there may be one thing to keep Vancouver from reaching the playoffs and that is the roster. What seems to be an unsettling riff between stars Elias Petterson and J.T. Miller could see one of them leaving. Is this unhealthy relationship going to resolve itself or will they part ways with one of their stars? This is not the only case of teammates clashing.

Erik Karlsson and Mike Hoffman-Ottawa Senators

Off-ice incidents that involved Mike Hoffman cheating with Erik Karlsson's wife, to an order of protection from Karlsson's wife against the partner of Hoffman for cyber bullying and harassment that was never issued due to the change of culture with the roster of the Ottawa Senators. Hoffman would be traded by the Senators in July 2018 to the San Jose Sharks because of the incident. The two would come together again on August 2023 as the Sharks would send Karlsson to the Pittsburgh Penguins and Hoffman would be sent to the Montreal Canadiens as part of a three team trade.

Jeff Carter and Scott Hartnell-Philadelphia Flyers

The rumors of Jeff Carter having an affair with Lisa Hartnell got to the team and caused a lot of stir. This would leave Carter being traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets for a 2011 first-round pick (Sean Couturier), a third-round pick (NIck Cousins), and Jakub Voracek.

PK Subban and Brendan Gallagher-Montreal Canadiens

Defenseman PK Subban and teammate Brendan Gallagher of the Montreal Canadiens were involved in a scrum with each other after a loss against the Nashville Predators that included a verbal exchange. Subban criticized Gallagher for a hit on New York Islanders defenseman Adam Peleck for which Gallagher got a five-game suspension. The two would never be the same after that. Ironically, Subban would be traded to the Predators for defenseman Shea Weber.

Rod Brind'Amour and Eric Lindros-Philadelphia Flyers

Another rumor about relationships that involved Rod Brind'Amour and his wife having an affair with Eric Lindros turned physical between the two teammates. Brind'Amour would strike Lindros with a chair in the locker room. Brind'Amour, along with goaltender Jean-Marc Pelletier, would be traded to the Carolina Hurricanes shortly after the incident. In exchange, the Flyers received Keith Primeau and draft picks.

Patrick Marleau and Jeremy Roenick-San Jose Sharks

Sharks teammates Patrick Marleau and Jeremy Roenick did not see eye-to-eye after a comment by Roenick suggesting that Marleau was not playing up to his full potential. Roenick took things to the next level, showing up at Marleau's house and confronting him. Marleau was not in favor of this and things would not be the same as Roenick's Sharks tenure would last two seasons and 118 games.
